Most well known for the creation of the Selectric series of typewriters IBM made machines before and after for using in businesses and government organizations.

Name Date Range Description and Rarity -
Selectric (I) 1961 - The first "Golfball" typewriter to set the standard for swappable fonts
Selectric II 1971 - Much larger, but far more prolific than it's predecessor.
Selectric III 1980 - More cost conscious and generally worse than it's predecessor. This short-lived iteration was not loved by those who used or supported these machines.
Electronic Typewriter 1980 - Made to compete with the smarter offerings from IBM's competitors. This machine did not last long as it was based around the Selectric III and quickly replaced by the Wheelwriter.
Wheelwriter 1984 - More cost conscious and generally worse than it's predecessor.
